Dura Den is an area of woodland, noted for its remarkable geology and fossils, in the Parish of Kemback. It is a few miles from Cupar (West), Ceres (South), and St Andrews (East). The steeply flowing Ceres Burn made it an ideal spot in the early 19th Century as a water-power source for Flax mills (Blebo and Yoolfield Mills) and this established a close connection with Dundee.
