The North Carr Lightship - the only surviving Scottish lightship - protected shipping off Fife Ness until 1975 when after withdrawal from service she was temporarily berthed at Anstruther as a tourist attraction.
She is now berthed in Dundee and is headquarters and depot ship of the Maritime Volunteer Service.
