Kirkcaldy harbour, now a location for new housing and no longer an active commercial harbour was, until the 1960s, a busy industrial port serving, mainly, the prolific linoleum industry and to a lesser extent the many linen and flax mills in the area. This picture looking towards the northwest, captures the hustle and bustle of loading and unloading cargo vessels in 1952
