The Scottish Fisheries Museum, located at Harbourhead in Anstruther first opened in July 1969 and has expanded year on year since then to be one of Scotland's major heritage museums. Part of the museum consists of two "A" Listed buildings, a Merchant House from 1724 and a 16th Century Abbot's lodging.
