Kirkcaldy - "Old Men's Shelter", Buchanan Street at the Esplanade (1956)
*The watermark is for internet copyright purposes only and will not appear on the purchased printI am afraid "Old Men's Shelter" did not give me any idea of location until May Stokes of Kirkcaldy kindly informed me that it was located at the foot of Buchanan Street tenements (now Buchanan Court). This was used by people in the tightknit community of the Links area to congregate and pass some time together while enjoying a view of the Forth. Everybody knew everybody else. May remembers going with her grandfather to these gatherings.
