Unfortunately this is not the best painting in the collection by a long way simply because the original - probably due to post-war shortages - is not painted on artist's paper but on what can only be described as wrapping paper. Hence the peculiar tint to the sky and the just visible 'brown paper' texture.
I have included it in this collection simply because it is an image which might well be unique as a record of what prefabs looked like in the 1940s. Anyone interested in purchasing a copy of this painting should use the contact section of the site to let me know of their interest since the usual price will not apply because of this quality issue
